Facebook IPO Futures Betting Odds

Facebook is about to get a lot more social with the unveiling of the company’s first ever IPO tonight.
Creator Mark Zuckerberg has finally been strongarmed into going public with his social networking company in which he owns more than 57-percent of. He has admitted several times he doesn’t want to go public with the company, and there are warning signs out there about gobbling up stock because of his controlling shares.
“It’s been made very clear that the CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, doesn’t really want to take the company public,” CBS Moneywatch’s Margaret Heffernan wrote. “Moreover, the ownership structure is such that he retains fundamental control over the business. Between his own shares and those he has made voting agreements with, post-IPO Zuckerberg controls at least 57.1% of the Class B shares (which have 10 votes apiece, compared to the publicly owned shares which carry one vote apiece.) That gives him total voting control over the company – which means, in essence, that this is like investing in a private company. Shareholder interests? Forget them.”
Regardless Facebook is about to go public, creating an expected frenzy for the first offering. And with anything this big, expect prop betting to be involved somehow. The initial stock price for the company, with over 500 million users, is projected to be around $60 per share, accordign to Bovada’s Facebook IPO Betting Lines. That’s where the over under is at, giving a -120 payout either way.
Depending on the economy, the value is expected to drop by December, though, whether by stock splitting or anything else. The over/under for the company’s value by December 31st, 2012 is at $10 with a -130 payout if it is higher. A -110 payout if it’s lower.
Zuckerberg is known for his casual dress down style, and Bovada’s Facebook IPO Betting Lines are expecting him to be wearing a hooded sweatshirt when he makes the official announcement.
And we couldn’t get into a social network’s news without trying to get a littler personal. Zuckerberg doesn’t really talk about his relationships, but something is expected to be announced soon. As for the type of girl he’s into, that’s up to you. Odds are he will admit to being in a relationship with a Facebook employee at +150. But the lucky lady being an actress isn’t that far fetched with +200 odds.
